Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for setting the direction and achieving the desired sales results in France. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate his/her ability to drive a sales team and influence change with both distributors and contractors.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the development & implementation of a strategic sales plan to grow sales and market share.

 

  • Manage and develop best-in-industry sales team.
  • Work closely with Specification and Marketing team to support sales growth objective.
  • Manage the distribution network necessary for growing product & service sales.
  • Establish positive and long-term relationships with key stakeholders at distributor and contractor level.
  • Recommend and implement differentiating sales strategies, programs and promotions.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, customer trends, market analysis, pricing dynamics and competition.
  • Collaborate effectively with all sales, service and operations teams to meet objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate level degree (BA, BS, Engineering)
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, including key account and sales team management.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience with proven record to inspire and motivate.
  • Demonstrated success & experience in B2B sales environment.
  • Fluent business level proficiency in English and French.
  • Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership and a route to market network.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • The role is to be based in France, with the total travel 50%-70% of your time, visiting clients and partners. Occasional travel outside the region also required.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • An advanced degree, MBA or similar.
  • Irrigation market experience
