Overview

The Regional Sales Manager – Distributor & Marketing is responsible for growing Landscape SBU sales and market share in Australia through the national dealer network. The role is also responsible for executing the marketing strategy and plans for Rain Bird Australia in support of the dealer network and end-users.

 

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will be a hands-on & highly motivated leader who works with a sense of urgency and thrives on challenges.  You will have a minimum of 7-10 years' experience in B2B sales with an excellent customer service ethos. High levels of commercial acumen and strategic thought will be key to your success in the role, as will possessing excellent organizational and planning skills. You will have a keen ability to effectively manage competing priorities and be able to demonstrate sales coaching ability.

Experience in irrigation, horticulture, or similar industries will be highly regarded, as will experience in managing sales via a dealer channel to market. You will also have a demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop strong customer relationships, and have a history of delivering on agreed goals and sales targets. Intermediate/advanced excel skills and highly developed presentation skills will be required.

  • Coaching the dealer sales team around effective Account Management
  • Developing and maintaining excellent Customer relationships
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Building strong and effective partnerships with dealers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience to include sales leadership
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales environments working with Dealer/Distributors sales channels.
  • Ability to spend at least 30% of time traveling in the field with the sales team, including overnight stays.
  • Strong selling/communication, influencing & problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High levels of strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Well-developed Computer skills.

 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Irrigation experience and/or experience managing sales to market via a dealer channel.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams
