Overview

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Accounting, the Associate Director will be a senior leader within the Finance and Accounting team. This position is responsible for and leads a team that ensures financial statements for Rain Bird Subsidiary companies are prepared according to appropriate accounting standards. A key aspect of this role is to ensure accurate financial information is available to cross functional business partners in a timely manner to assist in Company decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that international subsidiaries’ policies, procedures and systems meet legal and business requirements
  • Financial analysis and reporting requirements for Rain Bird subsidiaries, including business partnership with corresponding management to impact results
  • Advises management on accounting and control issues, ensuring adequate internal controls
  • Manages the integration of international acquisitions into financial reporting
  • Country by Country and Master file reporting requirements
  • Collaboration with Corporate Controllership to lead the International Subsidiaries on the annual external audit requirements
  • Other Ad hoc responsibilities and reporting as assigned

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Accounting or related degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, in finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility
  • Minimum 5 years Management experience, leading a multi-location team is a plus
  • Experience leading financial reporting in a global organization
  • Experience leading external audit requirements
  • Experience leading communications cross functionally, including Executive Leadership
  • Professional Accounting Certification (CMA or CPA preferred)

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Proficient in Spanish
  • Experience with acquisitions
