Overview

Specification Manager operates as a sales consultant/brand ambassador to influence and aide decision makers in the irrigation industry. This includes but is not limited to Irrigation Consultants, Landscape Architects, Public Agencies Accounts and Corporate Account customers within the assigned area in Italy. The objective is to drive irrigation specification and standardization for Rain Bird products.

Responsibilities

  • Establish Rain Bird as the primary solution specified.
  • Establish and implement call strategies that delivers increased specification and sales within the assigned territory
  • Conduct product webinars, lectures, demonstration and become a product technical expert for the regional team.
  •  Develop relationships with targeted Irrigation Consultants, Landscape Architects, Engineering Schools and Corporate Accounts at the decision-making level.
  • Closely coordinate with the Sales Managers within the territory to identify customers who represent the greatest opportunities.
  •  Develop and implement sales programs designed to aggressively grow the territory through specification.
  •  Analyse sales results, track projects on a regular basis, demonstrate and conduct product trainings, educate irrigation users, and work as an essential member of the Italian team.
  • Make Rain Bird the most visible manufacturer to all Specifiers in the region.
  • Participate in all relevant events for the purpose of networking and generating opportunities to sell Rain Bird products.
  • This position requires approximately 50% business travel.
  • Desired location: Lazio, Toscânia, Úmbria, Marche, Abruzzo, Toscana and Emília-Romanha

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Engineer
  • 5+ years’ work experience in technical sales.
  • Computer knowledge: Office processing spreadsheets, presentations and database applications (CRM)
  • Self-motivated, team player, results oriented and excellent communication skills required.
  • Fluent in English

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Landscape Architect degree or other technical degree
  • MBA degree desired
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial irrigation products and practices.
