Overview

The Marketing Program Manager for Europe is responsible for developing and executing the strategic and tactical marketing plans that will enable Rain Bird Europe to develop in all key market segments. He/ she will work closely with Strategic Business Units in the US and the Rain Bird Europe sales staff and sales managers to define and execute marketing programs in the European market. He/ she will coordinate local and US vendors to develop marketing materials and media contents for the European market and will assure consistency of messaging and visual identity of the company across the different communication channels following the strategy defined by the ISM – Marketing Coordinator and the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute marketing programs including market research, promotional programs, new product launches to achieve goals set by the ISM – Marketing and senior leadership in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain effective marketing communications with Rain Bird’s customers such as irrigation contractors, distributors, landscape architects and other key players within the irrigation industry.
  • Contribute to internal communication strategies for Rain Bird Europe employees
  • Full ownership of collection and review of market and competitor data to drive decisions in coordination with Rain Bird Europe sales managers.
  • Define and execute new product launches, promotional programs and media planning.
  • Coordinate and manage trade shows and customer conferences across Europe.
  • Monitor budget and track marketing expenses, propose improvements and cost reduction strategies to become more efficient.
  • Lead Rain Bird Europe digital marketing strategy in coordination with the Business Units in the US and Rain Bird Europe sales managers, identifying new channels to position Rain Bird as the irrigation leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Marketing.
  • 8+ years minimum work experience in Marketing, Sales or Advertising with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple and varied projects simultaneously.
  • Aptitude for quantitative analysis, tactical thinking and detailed planning.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial – Self-motivated, team player, enthusiastic and creative.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Language: Proficient in French and English.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and understanding of digital media channels.
  • 3+ years of management experience or 5+ years of managing PR, communication or marketing vendors.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree
  • B to B marketing experience
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Multi-channel distribution experience
  • Ability to speak a 3rd European language, preferably Spanish or German
