  • Overview

    The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer will be involved in application, production, and sustaining engineering activities as well as new product development and marketing of automated pump stations and filtration systems. This position is multifaceted requiring engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and remote support for field service and sales personnel. The position requires informal leadership ability, positive attitude, and creativity.


    • Produce fabrication approval (customer sign off) drawings
    • Publish complete production prints and Bills-of-Material for assemblies
    • Publish assembly and installation instructions for manufacturing personnel, installation contractors, service providers, and customers
    • Participate in cost savings initiatives in coordination with Buyer/Planner staff
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve productivity and profitability
    • Support production personnel by promptly answering design questions
    • Continue to improve personal technical expertise and ability
    • Accurately select, specify and quote automated irrigation pump and filter packaged systems
    • Any additional duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor




    • Bachelor’s of Science Degree in an Engineering field
    • Experience drafting 3-D assemblies and producing 2-D production prints in SolidWorks by integrating existing libraries as well as modeling new components
    • Successful track record of Achievements
    • Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take on new challenges
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Strong sense of urgency
    • Safety conscious
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time greater than 2 hours
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs using proper lifting technique
    • Team oriented individual




    • A positive attitude and “can do” spirit
    • Experience with 3-phase low voltage (<600VAC) power systems
    • Experience with pump and motor applications
    • Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
    • Proven ability to successfully launch new products
    • Lean manufacturing or Lean six sigma experience
