    The Landscape Drip Senior Product Sales Manager is responsible for establishing the US Horticulture market as a new business for Rain Bird. This position combines the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up company, the strategic approach of business / marketing leadership and the tactical ability to close sales with the end-user in the field. He/she will be responsible for pursuing this new market and quickly gaining sales results.

    Responsibilities

    Specific responsibilities will be to:

     

    • Establish a network of distributors that aligns strategically within the existing distribution strategies of both the Landscape SBUs and AG SBU
    • Achieve aggressive sales goals within the first 12 months
    • Cultivate industry relationships to understand end-user and decision-influencer needs in the Horticultural market
    • Guide the development of a Horticultural catalog through the identification of existing Rain Bird products that are applicable to this market
    • Identify product gaps and drive the NPD process to add those to our portfolio
    • Collaborate with each regional Landscape Sales team and the Drip PSM team to identify, prioritize and close sales opportunities
    • Introduce new sales and marketing tools to ensure our long term success and growth in the Horticulture market

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or Management
    • 5+ years sales experience in direct field or product application sales
    • Demonstrated ability to drive significant sales growth
    • Business acumen, strategic vision and tactical marketing experience
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
    • Self motivated to achieve desired results through independent work in the field
    • An entrepreneurial spirit combined with strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to travel 40%+ on average

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MBA degree
    • Sales or marketing management experience
    • Horticultural and / or irrigation experience
