  • Overview

    The International Business Manager will ensure the growth of Rain Bird businesses in the assigned Middle East countries. These countries include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan. He/she will provide leadership and direction to regional management and its respective personnel and will work closely with the global team at Rain Bird International, and the Strategic Business Units to ensure objectives are achieved. 




    • Accelerating sales and market share growth for products and services for all Strategic Business Units within the territory;
    • Leading and developing a high performance team. Managing company staff and resources within territory, including justification of new positions, hiring staff, staff development and training, and implementation and management of the territory succession plan;
    • Managing existing subsidiaries, including Profit and Loss responsibility. As appropriate, this individual will lead the establishment of new subsidiaries where justified by market potential;
    • Preparing market analyses, and identifying and pursuing new product and new business opportunities;
    • Distribution channel management and development. Identifying distribution opportunities, and capitalizing on growth opportunities;
    • Developing strong relationships with contractors and specifiers;
    • Measuring, monitoring and improving specification share;
    • Creating demand among end-users, including corporate accounts;
    • Identifying, establishing and managing legal, accounting, payroll, recruitment, and other vendors;
    • Participating in the corporate strategic planning process, communicating corporate goals and strategies within the territory, and reporting on progress;
    • Working closely with the company’s domestic and international SBU personnel to promote the business within the territory, and with Rain Bird International’s global management and customer service staff to ensure logistical support.



    • 10+ years combined experience with field support, sales and/or marketing responsibilities
    • International/multinational sales/business development experience
    • 10+ years experience managing a significant sales team 
    • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
    • Knowledge wholesale distribution channels
    • Fluency in Arabic and English
    • International Sales Experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership
    • An aptitude for quantitative analysis and strategic thinking

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in the irrigation industry with knowledge of irrigation products and pump systems for Residential, Commercial, Golf and Agricultural applications. 
    • An advanced degree;
    • Fluency in additional languages
