  • Overview

    The International Business Manager - Eastern Europe, will ensure the growth of Rain Bird’s business in the Eastern European markets. He/she will provide leadership and direction to the salesforce and work in collaboration with our distributors, Rain Bird Europe, global team at Rain Bird International and with the Strategic Business Units to ensure that sales and market share objectives are achieved. 


    This position can be based in any European country with strong preference for France, UK or Germany. 



    Position Responsibilities:

    • Accelerate sales growth and market share gains throughout the territory;
    • Lead and develop a high performance team that creates demand for Rain Bird products, including justification of new positions, hiring and developing staff.
    • Conduct market analyses and take actions to pursue new business opportunities;
    • Develop strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our distributors;
    • Develop relationships with irrigation contractors and specifiers;
    • Participate in and contributing to Rain Bird Europe’s strategic planning;
    • Work closely with Rain Bird Europe, Rain Bird International and the Strategic Business Units to design and execute sustainable growth strategies in the territory



    • 10+ years combined experience with field sales and/or marketing responsibilities;
    • BA or BS degree;
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
    • Proven track record in taking strategic thinking into successful plan execution;
    • Ability to achieve results individually and through team leadership;
    • An aptitude for quantitative analysis and strategic thinking;
    • Willingness to travel 50% of the time;
    • Fluency in English and fluency in one major European language



    • Previous experience in the irrigation industry and/or wholesale distribution channels
    • An advanced degree;
    • Fluency in additional European languages
    • International sales experience
