Rain Bird seeks a results-driven Manager of Financial Reporting and Compliance.  As a seasoned leader, you will create and implement a short / long term strategic vision and strategies.  You are an expert at assessing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities within the business.

    • Monitor proposed changes in GAAP and coordinate implementation of new standards
    • Identify and effectively address compliance risks, including financial and operational issues and legal/regulatory requirements as they relate to financial reporting
    • Develop, maintain, and monitor compliance with Rain Bird policies, including but not limited to, record retention, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and state activity-Nexus policies
    • Monitor and implement procedures and policies to maintain compliance with sales and use tax requirements
    • Monitor and implement procedures and policies to maintain compliance with customs requirements
    • Monitor and implement procedures to maintain compliance with PCI/DSS
    • Review accounting and internal control practices at foreign subsidiaries; suggest and help implement improvements including management reporting. Travel expected and required
    • Research technical implications of changes in the business as they relate to and may affect financial reporting
    • Assist with filing of census reports
    • Assist with preparation of consolidated financials and income tax returns as assigned
    • Assist with implementing corrective actions to internal and external audit internal control findings
    • Other related duties and responsibilities



    • B.A. or B.S. Degree
    • Ten to fifteen years of applicable experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Superior potential demonstrated through academic and work history




    • MBA or graduate degree
    • C.P.A. strongly preferred
