Overview

Candidate will be responsible for conducting tests and performing analysis to evaluate product performance and reliability supporting new product development. Also, candidate will manage test requests and set up priorities in the PRC. Responsibilities may include design, fabrication and installation of new test equipment.

 

Responsibilities

More specific responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare test hardware and software including Data Acquisition Systems as required
  • Prepare and document test procedures, test plans and test reports
  • Perform design and production validation testing
  • Perform failure analysis to isolate areas for product/process improvements
  • Recommend design/process improvements to improve product quality
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and in a timely manner
  • Drive projects or sub-projects to completion while meeting project deliverables
  • Procure necessary supplies to support test programs
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, including electrical, electronic and mechanical failures.
  • Monitor and calibrate test equipment to insure that all processes are operating correctly
  • Supervise and train interns and technicians in their accomplishment of the above tasks

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. Degree in an engineering science (Mechanical or Electric)
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Understanding of engineering concepts, drawings and schematics (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic)
  • Experience with LabVIEW or other DAQ systems
  • Knowledge of latest transducer and sensor technologies
  • Proficiency in 3D solid modeling CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team, under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to do hands-on testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with irrigation products
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, DOE, SPC
